Norfolk is a county with a plethora of magnificent country houses. This tour will explore four of the finest examples as well as making detours to Burghley House and Peterborough Cathedral.

The ticket price includes accommodation and meals at a 4* hotel in Kings Lynn for 3 nights as well as private guided tours of all venues in the tour.

Day 1

1.46pm The coach will meet guests at Peterborough Station and depart for Peterborough Cathedral. The group will have a private guided tour of the Cathedral which is the original resting place of the beheaded Mary Queen of Scots and where Katherine of Aragon still lies.

The coach will then take guests to their hotel in Kings Lynn where dinner will be provided, as it will on subsequent nights.

Day 2

Morning- The coach will depart for Blickling Hall, a fine 17th century red-brick mansion famous for its Jacobean plaster work ceilings.

Afternoon- after a picnic lunch, the coach will take guests to the Palladian Holkham Hall which is often described as 'the jewel in Norfolk's crown'.

Day 3

Morning- The coach will take guests to Houghton Hall, home to the Cholmondeley and designed by Scottish born architects Colen Campbell and James Gibbs.

Afternoon- After having lunch at Houghton Hall, the coach will take guests to the Carolean Raynham Hall where a private tour and a cup of tea will be enjoyed with the resident Marquis and Marchioness Townshend.

Day 4

Morning- The coach will depart for Burghley House where there will be a private tour of Sir William Cecil's 16th century prodigy house.

Afternoon- The coach will take guests to Peterborough Station in time to catch the 1.46 train to Edinburgh.
