This is a special opportunity to visit behind the scenes and below deck at the newly refurbished Mary Rose Museum and the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth. The visit will include a guided tour of the Mary Rose, an exclusive briefing on the conservation of the ship and its artefacts (offering a unique insight into the Tudor way of life) and a curator-led tour of the NMRN, whose treasures include Nelson’s Life Mask, the first Victoria Cross ever awarded in 1856 and a Second World War Enigma machine.
Transport costs are not included.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
