Kineton churchyard memorials: going out in style

Talk and Tour | Kineton Village Hall, then St Peter's Church

Thursday 17 September 2015 - 10:30 until 13:15

David Freke will introduce the art of the monumental mason and how national fashions affect local craftsmen. He will examine how art styles, location and character of memorials reflect wider religious and social change from 17th to 21st century. He will take the group on a tour of St Peter's churchyard (5 minutes walk away), remaining monumental masonry as a significant aspect of vernacular art through the ages.

This event has been organised by the Warwickshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
