The Merchant's Hall

Talk and Tour | The Society of Merchant Venturers

9 September 2015
2 November 2015 - 14:30 until 16:30

A unique visit to this iconic building in Clifton. Frances Greenacre, a Merchant Venturer and Art Historian has very kindly agreed to host two afternoon visits to the Merchant’s Hall. He will give an introduction to the history of the Merchant Venturers, founded by Royal Charter in 1552, and will use the works of art in the Hall to illustrate his talk. Frances Greenacre is very happy to take questions both on the tour and afterwards. This is a very special opportunity to see a very interesting building which is part of Bristol’s proud history.

This event has been organised by the Bristol and Bath Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
