2 Willow Road SOLD OUT

Visit | 2, Willow Road

Tuesday 9 June 2015 - 18:30 until 20:30

Designed and built by Ernö Goldfinger in 1939, this is one of Britain’s most important examples of modernist architecture and one of a small number of Modern Movement houses, complete with original contents, open to the public. It is a family home, filled with furniture designed by Goldfinger and their important collection of twentieth-century art, including works by Henry Moore, Bridget Riley, Max Ernst and Marcel Duchamp. This private evening opening includes an introduction to the house and provides an opportunity to see items not usually on public display. Guides will be on hand to answer any questions.

As a listed building, unfortunately 2 Willow Road is not fully accessible; there is a spiral staircase with handrail to the first and second floors.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
