Just east of the City of London, Spitalfields is famous for the Huguenot silk weavers who built handsome brick houses there in the early 18th century. Starting at the vast Christchurch by Hawksmoor, discover their story of riches to rags with expert guide Sue Jackson, learning about the architecture, inhabitants and the remarkable restoration. Private visit to the candlelit Denis Severs House: once the home of a Master Weaver, it offers an extraordinary historical experience.

This event has been organised by the Hampshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
