Stationers' Hall SOLD OUT
Tour | Stationers' Hall
Tuesday 7 April 2015 - 10:00 until 11:30
The historic Stationers' Hall, home to the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, has stood on this site since 1606. The present building, however, was built in 1673 following the destruction of the original hall in the Great Fire of 1666, and its facade radically altered in the 1800. The Hall today is one of the most beautiful in London in spite of serious damage caused by enemy action in 1940. The Court Room was partially destroyed but was restored by 1957. The group will have a tour of the hall seeing its splendours and hearing of its history.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
