Private evening visit to the Van Dyck Self Portrait and Exhibition

Guided Tour | Turner Contemporary

Thursday 26 February 2015 - 18:00 until 20:00

Sarah Martin, Head of Exhibitions at Turner Contemporary, will introduce and give a private tour of more than 60 works from the National Portrait Gallery, dating from the 16th Century, displayed alongside key contemporary self-portraits from major public and private international collections. Central to the exhibition is Sir Antony Van Dyck's last self-portrait of 1640-1, purchased for the nation in 2014 following a joint public appeal by the National Portrait Gallery and the Art Fund. Turner Contemporary will be the first venue where visitors can see Van Dyck's remarkable self-portrait as it embarks on a major nationwide tour.

An additional tour is available as an early morning breakfast event on Saturday 28 February.

This event has been organised by the Kent Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
