Turner: Lecture and Exhibition

Talk and Tour | Tate Britain

Thursday 2 October 2014 - 11:00

'Late Turner – Painting Set Free’ will be the first major exhibition of J.M.W. Turner’s final period, opening in September. It covers the time of some of his most celebrated work. Bringing together 150 works, it will re-assess the vast range of materials and techniques used by the artist and demonstrate his radicalism. We shall have an exclusive 1 hour lecture about the Exhibition, followed by a private lunch. We have timed tickets to view the Exhibition and the rest of the Gallery at leisure. The Tate re-opened recently after a two year renovation. The whole collection has been re-hung chronologically from the 16thC and now is a wonderful opportunity to see British Art over 500 years.

This event has been organised by the Oxfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
