The Society of Antiquaries was founded in 1707 and is one of several learned societies located in Picadilly’s Burlington House. Its principal concern is the research, conservation and increased public awareness of the material remains of the past. This visit will include viewings of the society’s collection of early royal portraits, such as those of Edward IV, Mary Tudor and two of Richard III, in addition to objects from its museum collections and historic library.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
