Visit to No. 1 Royal Crescent
Visit | No 1 Royal Crescent
Tuesday 1 April 2014 - 18:30 until 20:00
A special visit to No 1 Royal Crescent, led by curator Victoria Bardwell. No 1, considered to be the most important example of domestic architecture in Bath, has recently undergone a major restoration costing c. £5m.
This is a small group private evening lecture and tour to No 1 Royal Crescent. The event will give members the chance to learn more about the house and its history, and to view John Opie's portrait of Mary Delany, artist and confidante of George III. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and have a tailored tour of the house - without the rush and bustle of tourists during the day.
