City of London: Ironmongers Hall and the Guildhall

Visit | Ironmongers Hall

Monday 3 February 2014 - 11:15

The City livery companies were the foundation and the backbone of the City of London's wealth. In the morning the visit will take in Ironmongers Hall, the 10th oldest (a fellowship of ironmongers has existed since the 13th century) and the present Hall was built in 1925.

After lunch in the Hall, the visit will continue to the Guildhall which for many years was the seat of government for the City of London, and is still the site of state occasions.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
