Psalters were some of the most popular of medieval manuscripts, often lavishly illustrated. This lecture by Sally Dormer will focus on some of the most famous medieval examples, including the Macclesfield Psalter, a 14th century English manuscript that was unknown before it was auctioned in 2004 and acquired by the Fitzwilliam Museum with the aid of the Art Fund.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
