The Healing Presence of Art: Great Art in Hospitals from Grunewald to Chagall

Richard Cork, art historian, editor, art critic, broadcaster and exhibition curator will be the speaker. He is a regular broadcaster on radio and television and has written extensively on the art of the 20th century. His book on the Vorticist movement is regarded as a classic, and his most recent book, The healing presence of art: a history of western art in hospitals, was published in 2012. He is a Syndic of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
