Picasso Ceramics and German Expressionist Prints

The Attenboroughs began to visit the Madoura pottery in Vallauris, France where Picasso's activity with ceramics was centred in the early 1950s. The first of these guided tours will take in the Attenborough collection of Picasso Ceramics, some 150 pieces, the majority of the collection consisting of Editions and Original Impressions.

The permanent gallery celebrates a remarkable collection of German Expressionist Art, founded in Leicester during WWII, the collection, now with over 350 artworks, is acclaimed as the finest of its kind in the UK. Artists in the colelction include Marc, Munter, Kandinsky, Heckel and Kirchner.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to raise money for the Art Fund.
