Extraordinary Essex

Overnight Trip | Norfolk to Essex

9 – 12 September 2013 - 09:00

Did you know that Essex has more listed buildings that either Norfolk or Suffolk? Join us on a trip to discover hidden Essex, less than two hours away from Norwich.

Based on 3 nights at the historic Blue Boar Inn at Maldon, we shall venture forth from Norfolk and over 4 days visit large scale barns at Cressing Temple, the studios of two leading artists, private houses and the Byzantine/Romanesque frescoes at Copford.

As we make progress round Essex, enjoying some delicious meals on the way, we shall encounter the eminent architect Robert Adam in Mistley, and of course, essential to any Essex tour - Sir Alfred Munnings in Dedham.

This event has been organised by a supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
