Churches of Mid-Dorset
Guided Tour | Puddletown
Tuesday 20 August 2013 - 10:00
Patrick and Frances Moule of the Dorset Historic Churches Trust will be the guides, beginning at Puddletown, a textbook example of a medieval church, then to Moreton a gem of Georgian Gothic with the Lawrence Whistler engraved glass windows, and then to Bere Regis, mostly 12th to 14th century with its super timber roof. In the afternoon the tour will continue to the 15th century All Saints at Hilton and the very fine Milton Abbey Church.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
