Visit | Fulham Palace
Thursday 18 July 2013 - 14:00 until 16:00
Once the main residence of the Bishops of London, Fulham Palace is of medieval origin and was the country home of the Bishops of London from 11th century to 1975. The private tour of the building will reveal the history and the changes over the centuries. We will be shown the Great hall, the Victorian Chapel and the Bishops Terrick and Sherlock rooms. The visit also tours the gardens including a walled garden mainly in a 19th century layout and which features some rare tree specimens. The museum collection, dating to the early roman settlement on the site has many interesting artefacts and portraits of past residents.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
