A visit to Stig End, Corse and Windward House

On arrival at Corse visitors will be given a talk on the history of the village and the Chartist village movement by local resident and historian Basil Allen while enjoying tea/coffee. The visit will then continue on a short escorted walking tour of Snigs End one of five communities established by the Chartist movement in the 1840s under the leadership of the Irish aristocrat Feargus O’Connor.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
