John Makepeace Furniture and Mapperton House and Gardens

Visit and Talk | Farrs and Mapperton House

Wednesday 19 June 2013

John Makepeace's furniture is regularly shown in the V&A and the Arts Council recently sponsored a touring exhibition of his design and craftsmanship. In 2001 John and his wife, Jennie moved into Farrs, a 1730 house in Beaminster and he will talk about their collection of contemporary furniture, paintings and sculpture as well as his own work.

In the afternoon there will be a tour of Mapperton House, the church and then time available to explore the extensive gardens.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
