Built in 1130, The Manor is one of the oldest continuously inhabited houses in Britain. Grade 1 listed, it was bought in 1939 by the author Lucy Boston. The house and the gardens are the setting for the Green Knowe children's books and the owner's exquisite patchworks are on display. A guided tour of the house will follow lunch and after there will be time to explore the gardens which contains a large collection of old roses. irises, scented shrubs and herbaceous plants.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
