Rex Whistler: A Talent Cut Short

Visit | Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum

Wednesday 29 May 2013 - 11:00

Best known for his iconic portraits, Whistler's work included murals, stage designs, book illustrations and the bedroom he, along with Oliver Messel and Lord Berners, design for Cecil Beaton.

The visit will start with a screening of a film about Whistler by Daniel Whistler as an introduction to his uncle's work. The curator, Kim Chittick will then give a talk and walk around the exhibition, pointing out the major works.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to raise money for the Art Fund.
