Arts and Crafts day in Steep, Hampshire
Visit and Talk | Bedales School, Arts and Crafts buildings
9, 10 April 2013 - 10:00
Along a lovely wooded hillside, just above Petersfield, is a hidden cluster of surprisingly little-known Arts & Crafts buildings. Alistair Langlands, who taught English and Architectural History will be the guide. Meeting in Bedales School, the morning consists of coffee, talk and a visit to the Lupton Hall & Memorial Library followed by a tour of three to four Arts and Crafts houses. In the afternoon the visit continues to the Edward Barnsley workshop and the Red House, home of WWI poet, Edward Thomas.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
