Lecture | Yorkshire Museum

Thursday 14 March 2013 - 18:30 until 20:30

Dr Stephano Cracolici, the Director of the University of Durham Centre for Visual Arts and Culture Studies, will give a lecture on Canaletto's legacy in England. He will discuss not only Canaletto's work in this country but will also refer to the refined taste he instilled. The lecture finishes with consideration of the work of the little known Venetian painter, Emma Ciardi, who worked in England in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
