Asian Art in London: Ann Duchange

Talk | Duchange and Riche

Friday 2 November 2012 - 14:00 until 15:00

Private gallery talks for Art Fund members from international experts in their field. In AD 353, Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi invited 41 ‘men of distinction’ to a poetry party at Lanting, at the foot of Mount Huiji. This talk will discuss rare objets d’art depicting the ‘Lanting Gathering’, during which Wang created what is considered to be his finest work, the Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Manuscript.

This is one of four Asian Art in London talks. The other talks available are:

Olivia Fraser - 2nd November 2012, 11am

Dries Blitz - 8th November 2012, 11.30am

Gregg Baker - 8th November 2012, 3pm

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
