The Athenaeum and Houses in Hammersmith

Tour | The Athenaeum

Tuesday 2 October 2012

We will be guided around The Athenaeum by Jonathan Ford, Secretary, and Kay Walters, Librarian.

We then move on to the river front in Hammersmith to see two houses associated with William Morris. One is the Emery Walker Trust which houses the only surviving Arts an Crafts urban interior in Britain. The other is Kelmscott House, home to William Morris from 1879-1896. We will see part of the house, the garden and the coach house.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
