Hunterian Gallery Rembrandt and the Passion

Visit and Talk | The Hunterian Gallery

Saturday 29 September 2012 - 10:30

Rembrandt and the Passion offers a unique opportunity to see one of The Hunterian's most famous paintings, Rembrandt's Entombment Sketch alongside masterpieces never seen before in Scotland.

Peter Black studied classics at Oxford and then combined art dealing with research on printmaking. He came as curator to the Hunterian in 1998, since when he has focused on Dutch and Flemish art. He has been planning this Rembrandt exhibition since 2003 when the painting was borrowed for an exhibition about Rembrandt the printmaker in Boston and Chicago.

This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
