Treasures at Temple Newsam, Leeds
Senior Curator Polly Putman leads a tour of this Tudor/Jacobean house. Curator James Lomax will then showcase the Wentworth Raby Wine Cistern (a recent Art Funded acquisition), made in 1706 for Lord Raby's embassy to the Prussian Court.
After lunch there will be presentations by painting conservator, Jenny Hack, and furniture conservator, Ian Fraser explaining their roles and the restoration of the famous Angel Bed; created for Queen Anne in 1711.
This event is organised by a local supporter group, to help raise money for the Art Fund.
