Eye-catching attire: Women's fashion from the late Qing Dynasty

Lecture | The Castle Museum, Nottingham

Thursday 13 September 2012 - 13:45

In the first of our lecture series at Nottingham's Castle Museum, we are joined by Helen Perrson, Curator of Chinese Textiles and Dress at the V&A. Her lecture will connect to the Living in Silk exhibition on show at the museum, which will put an exquisite range of silk garments, accessories and textiles spanning China's five thousand year history of silk production. There will also be artefacts from the China National Silk Museum as well as a companion display Unravelled from Nottingham City Museum's collection of Chinese textiles. Tea and coffee will be served, and guests will have the opportunity to explore the Museum's exhibitions and galleries.

This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
