Refurbished Dutch Galleries at the Wallace Collection

Tour | Wallace Collection

Thursday 6 September 2012 - 11:00 until 14:00

Rembrandt, Titus, the Artist's son, c 1657, at the Wallace Collection Dutch Galleries
Three galleries at the Wallace Collection have been refurbished to 'create a fresh architectural language' for the gallery's important collection of Dutch art, which includes works by Rembrandt, Jan Steen, Pieter de Hooch and Jacob van Ruisdael.

The original room height from the time of Sir Richard Wallace has been recreated and new roof lights let in natural illumination, with clear views of the sky. The paintings are hung on a rich blue silk and each gallery is newly themed.

Our private tour is followed by lunch in the stunning Wallace Restaurant.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
