Sarah Siddons - her life and art

Lecture | Theatr Brycheiniog

Tuesday 4 September 2012 - 14:30

William Gibbs (Art Fund Powys Regional Representative) will give a talk on Sarah Siddons, the most famous actress of her time. She left a record of her life both through the many letter she wrote and the memories she recalled. She was also painted by many of the great artists of her day.

The talk will draw on both her words and images to build a fascinating portrait of her life. The talk will be further illuminated by actress Caroline Mitchell who will be reading from her letters and performing scenes from her life.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
