Rugby Collection of 20th Century British Art

The Rugby Art Gallery's nationally known collection of 20th century British art was established in 1946 and comprises of works by many, now well-known, artists. Stanley Spencer, Eduardo Paolozzi, Walter Sickert, Graham Sutherland, Bridget Riley, Paul Nash and LS Lowry are just a few of those represented. For the first time the full collection of 170 works is on display for a twelve-week season.
The afternoon will begin with curator Jessica Moran introducing the modern gallery (built in 2000), followed by a talk and guided tour by the art historian and painter, Richard Yeomans. After a break for refreshments, members will be able to study more of the art works at leisure.
