Scampston & Birdsall Halls

There will be a coach trip to Malton, North Yorkshire to visit Scampston Hall and Birdsall House. Scampston Hall was extensively remodelled in the Regency style in 1801 and features a serpentine park first laid out by Charles Bridgeman and later by 'Capability' Brown. On arrival, coffee will be served before a tour of the house. As seasonal lunch will follow, served in the Garden cafe. Then, a tour of the magnificent and newly refurbished Walled Garden designed by Peter Oudolf--a leader in the new European Movement.
The trip will continue to Birdsall House. Usually closed to the public, the house was originally built in the mid 16th century and has undergone various alterations. It boasts stunning works of art and antiques, including furniture by Chippendale and paintings by Reynolds and Romney.
