Visit and Talk | F.E. McWilliam Gallery

Friday 18 May 2012 - 10:30 until 12:30

This exhibition consists of over 40 paintings that Basil Blackshaw has selected from throughout his career, and coincides with his 80th birthday this summer. Favourites such as The First Tractor in Randalstown and The Gawky Cockerel will feature along less familiar paintings, as well as a selection of Blackshaw's powerful portraits of figures including Ted Hickey and Brian Friel.

Our visit will start in the gallery's cafe at 10.30am for coffee and scones, followed by a guided tour and talk from Curator Dr Riann Coulter.
