Chalgrove Manor and Church
Visit and Talk | Chalgrove Manor
Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 10:30 until 14:00
Chalgrove Manor is an architectural gem. The present owners bought a rendered building, but discovered and uncovered a 16th century timber building which has been restored and repaired with great care with the help of English Heritage.
The church of St Mary the Virgin, Chalgrove, is well known for its 14th century wall paintings.
The owners of Chalgrove Manor will guide us round the house, and at the church an introductory talk will contextualise the wall paintings.
