Marina Vaizey CBE will discuss some of the leading women collectors, from Louisine Havemeyer, who helped to bring Impressionism to America after collecting works by Degas in Paris in the 1870s, to Peggy Guggenheim, whose museum is housed in the Venetian palazzo that was her home.

Lady Vaizey, who has written extensively on the topic, is a leading figure in the art world and a past editor of Art Quarterly.
