Sir John Soane's Museum and the Courtauld Gallery

Museum Visit | Meet at Waldorf Hilton Hotel

Tuesday 1 May 2012 - 11:00 until 16:00

Sir John Soane's Museum is the idiosyncratic house-museum of the great neo-Classical architect, which he built in 1812. Today it displays his collection, including epic work by Hogarth, in the same state as at the time of his death. Guides from the museum will give short introductory talks at the start of the visit to aid appreciation of the Hogarths.

Within walking distance is the Courtauld Gallery which, along with the esteemed permanent collection, is currently holding a temporary exhibition featuring the relationship between Piet Mondrian and Ben Nicholson during the 1930s.

The two visits will be separted by a relaxing lunch in the splendor of the Waldorf Hilton Hotel on Aldwych.

Meet 11.00am at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel, Aldwych, London WC2B 4DD.
