More than a Pretty Face: Women Artists of the Pre-Raphaelite Movement by Jan Marsh

| Wallace Collection

Thursday 19 April 2012 - 14:30 until 15:30

Jan Marsh will give a talk on the women of the Pre-Raphaelite circle – figures, she argues, who tend to be less well remembered than the models, but who were active as artists at every stage of the movement.

Dr Marsh, co-curator of the Manchester Art Gallery exhibition Pre-Raphaelite Women Artists, introduces Jane Benham Hay, Anna Howitt, Elizabeth Siddal, Joanna Wells, Lucy Madox Brown, Marie Spartali Stillman, Evelyn De Morgan and others.
