Talk |

Thursday 22 March 2012 - 14:30 until 13:30

Philippa Abrahams takes us on a journey through 1,000 years of art production, highlighting the complexities, dangers, successes and failures of artists’ searches for brilliant colours, effective tools and durable techniques. By investigating the history of such techniques, Philippa will give a unique insight into the working lives of great artists.

Part of this season’s series of talks at the Wallace Collection, which explores the relationship between traditional and contemporary craft-making techniques.
