National Liberal Club

According to an unknown writer 'Gladstone founded it, Asquith dined in it, Lloyd George spoke at it, HG Wells wrote about it.' The National Liberal Club was founded in 1882 and its home is a grand building on the Victoria Embankment with a terrace that offers a splendid view over the River Thames.
This tour of the rooms is led by the club's Honorary Archivist and Art Curator. Visitors have a rare opportunity to breathe in the atmosphere of political history while viewing the club's art collection.
Today the club remains independent while continuing to be closely affiliated with Liberal traditions.
