King George III: The Most Cultured Monarch

Lecture | The Menuhin Hall

Tuesday 8 November 2011 - 10:00 until 13:00

Lecture by Oliver Everett on King George III: The Most Cultured Monarch at the Menuhin Hall.

The Lecture aims to correct the impression that George III was solely mad alongside the blemish of losing the American Colonies. He was also a discerning art collector, patron of the arts and of artists, friend of America and of Americans, and a committed family man.

He was also a keen architect who added to Buckingham Palace and re-inhabited Windsor Castle
