An Evening with Robert Gilmor and Friends
A special event at The Reading Museum at the launch of a retrospective exhibition in honour of the internationally acclaimed wildlife artist and ornithologist Robert Gilmor.
Born in Reading, Robert Gimor was a 22-year-old student at the School of Fine Art at Reading University when he was commissioned to illustrate his first book, A Study of Blackbirds. Since then his output has been enormous – embracing line drawing, watercolour, linocuts and silk screen – and appreared in over 100 books.
Meeting at 4pm for a private view of the exhibition with commentary from Exhibitions & Partnerships Curator, Elaine Blake. Reconvening at the Gallery at 6.30pm for An Evening with Robert Gilmor and Friends, a seated panel-type discussion with an open Q&A session.
