Day trip to Wedgwood Museum

Visit |

Wednesday 12 October 2011 - 08:00 until 16:15

This full-day trip takes us to the home of one of the most interesting ceramic collections in the world, comprising galleries which tell the story of Josiah Wedgwood, his family, and the company he founded two-and-a-half centuries ago.

We travel by Johnson's Executive Coach, departing from the Leisure Centre, Stratford at 8am. There will be additional pick-ups at Newbold Terrace, Leamington Spa at 8.30am and the Old Silhillians, Solihull (J5 of M42) at around 8.55am. The program for the day consists of coffee on arrival, followed by an exclusive talk by Gaye Blake-Roberts, director of the Wedgwood museum. There will then be a factory tour and free time for lunch. After lunch you may participate in a guided tour of the museum, and later on there will be free time to spend in the Visitor Centre/Shop or go back to the museum and explore further.

As the party size is limited, early application is recommended. The museum has a self-service restaurant where lunch and afternoon tea can be obtained.
