Visit to Charterhouse

Visit | Charterhouse

Tuesday 11 October 2011 - 10:15 until 12:30

Founded as a Carthusian Monastery in the early 14th century, Charterhouse stands to the north of Charterhouse Square.

Since the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century, the house has been a private residence, a boy's school and an alms house which it remains today. It is of both great historical and architectural interest and importance. Our guides will be the Master and one of the Brothers.
