Visit | Eton College

Wednesday 15 June 2011 - 14:15 until 16:00

Eton has been educating boys for nearly 600 years. Captain Hook and King Leopold III of the Belgians, David Cameron and Shelley,
Humphrey Lyttleton and Hugh Laurie – each knew School Yard, the Lower and Upper Schools, and College Hall, which this extended tour will visit. The architectural highlight is the Perpendicular chapel, begun in 1441 and decorated with outstanding wall paintings in the Flemish style. Visits to the Museum of Eton Life and the Natural History Museum will enlarge visitors’ understanding of the education modern Etonians receive.
