An opportunity to visit two stunning private properties in the Edinburgh area: Jupiter Artland and Caroline Park.

Set in the grounds of Bonnington House, Wilkieston, the private park Jupiter Artland is being turned into a sculpture park by Bonnington's current owners: Robert and Nicky Wilson. Housing over twenty works, the Wilsons have commissioned pieces by artists such as Charles Jencks, Antony Gormley, Andy Goldsworthy and Ian Hamilton Finlay. There will be a two hour guided tour of Jupiter Artland at 10 am followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, a visit to Caroline Park at Granton. Built in 1685 for Sir George Mackenzie, 1st Lord Tarbat, the architects Robert Mylne, James Smith, Sir WIlliam Bruce and William Adam have all been associated with its creation. Inside, the house features fine plaster work by Italian craftsmen, German iron work balustrade, painted panels and wood carving. Outside: a fine slated baloon roof. Recently, the house was used for the set of BBC's Garrow's Law.
