Three-Day Trip to Shropshire

The North Yorkshire Art Fund Committee have organised a three day tour of the best historical properties and homes of Shropshire. The visit will include exclusive visits to a number of great houses not normally open to the public. Accomodation will be at Weston Park, ancestral home of the Earls of Bradford. Highlights of the visit will include a private guided tour of Browsholme Hall, Combermere Abbey, Willey Park, the Earl of Plymouth's estate Oakley Park, and St. Bartholomew's Church (known as the 'Westminster Abbey of the Midlands'). Curator Gareth Williams will be the guide for a number of the visits. On the final day: a visit to Longner Hall designed by James Nash and then to Wales to visit Powis Castle and its celebrated gardens.
