Three Day Trip to Glasgow

Allan Burrow will lead a tour to Glasgow. The first day will be spent travelling to Kelvingrove which houses an eclectic mix of works by the Old Masters, French Impressionists, Dutch Renaissance artists, Scottish Colourists’, and Glasgow School artists.

The following day there will be a visit to the Burrell Collection with its works by Rodin, Degas, and Cezanne as well as important medieval art, a large textile collection and Chinese and Islamic art. After lunch, a visit to Pollok House which displays an extensive collection of Spanish paintings by artists such as El Greco, Goya and Murillo.

On Saturday, there will be a tour of Hill House in Helensburgh - a residence designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for the wealthy businessman Walter Blackie. There are superb examples of Mackintosh’s ‘Arts and Crafts’ furniture, light fittings, and windows.

With plenty to discover, and a great deal to see, these international art works cannot be missed!

Entry details

£270 per person with a £50 single supplement. This includes dinner, bed and breakfast, and accommodation at the 4 star Marriot Hotel. Also included in the price is all the entrance and guided tour fees. The price does not include coffee and lunch stops.
