His Excellency Mr Derek Leask, New Zealand High Commissioner, and his partner Ms Trish Stevenson graciously welcome you to a unique event in the Penthouse of New Zealand House, designed to explore the history and examples of indigenous Maori art.

Articulating the philosophy, values and practices that underpin both traditional and contemporary Maori art are Natasha McKinney, British Museum Curator, Oceania, and internationally celebrated sculptor and multimedia artist George Nuku, himself trained in the Maori tradition of carving. A reception follows.
