View and Talk: Twentieth Century British Art Sale at Bonhams

| Bonhams

Monday 7 March 2011 - 17:30 until 19:30

Join us at Bonhams for a private viewing, exclusively for Art Fund members, of a sale of 20th century British Art. Bonhams holds three such auctions a year in their New Bond Street salerooms – they range from Edwardian art works by contemporary artists. The director of the department, Matthew Bradbury, will be giving a talk about Bonhams and the painting, sculptures and drawings in this sale. Auction room highlights of 2010 have included a portrait of Estella West by Frank Auerbach, which achieved £860.000 in June and a work by Sir Alfred Munnings, The Start at Newmarket, which sold for £524,000 in March 2010.
